Personal
I was introduced to Modern Pentathlon at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Without a background in any of the five sports, I watched as my older brother attend camps and clinics before inevitably joining myself. I couldn’t swim half of the length of pool, never picked up a pistol or epee, and didn’t know how to ride a horse. One day I started taking swim lessons, joined a track club, and started taking riding lessons. I dedicated myself to training before and after school through high school with the goal of qualifying for the Youth Olympics, and once I graduated high school I chose to pursue an Olympic team while getting my undergraduate degree in International Affairs and Business. There have been injuries, surgeries, periods where I had to step away but I’ve always been drawn back to this unique sport. I plan on pursuing law school following the 2024 Olympics.
