II.    ELITE ATHLETE HEALTH INSURANCE (EAHI)

                A.  Number of EAHI slots allocated:  4

B.  Eligibility and Criteria Approved for EAHI:

EAHI will be offered to qualified athletes who are actively training and competing, according to the process outlined below:

  1. Slots will be offered to the top 2 male and top 2 female athletes, in rank order, based on the USAP 2011 ranking list effective June 1st 2011. These athletes accepting and meeting the criteria listed above will remain part of this EAHI program until December 31, 2011 after which a new system will take effect.
  2. If slots remain, they will be offered to the next highest ranked male or female athlete in rank order, in the Top 50, on the UIPM Ranking List.

Should there be any available EAHI slots left after all eligible athletes have either accepted or declined, those remaining slots will remain unused.
