The Mexican Federation of Modern Pentathlon has the pleasure to invite a delegation of your country to participate in the "Bicentenary of Mexico World Cup" that is going to be held in Playa del Carmen, Q. Roo from march 2 to 8 according to the following programme:

RULES
The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM Rules.
Swimming: 50m outdoor swimming pool / 8 lanes
Fencing: 10 pistes
Combined Event: 36 electronic targets (CO2 and compressed air will be available); mix surface
ECONOMICAL CONDITIONS
World Cup Circuit
In accordance with UIPM rules, the Mexican Federation/LOC invites the first 10 men and women in the World Championships 2009 and World Cup Final 2009 Rule 1.16.5. These athletes plus all participants (athletes, coaches and officials) must pay their own accommodation and meals (Rule 1.16.6. )
In case an athlete and/or coach is hosted by the LOC he/she has to pay an accreditation fee of USD $125 per person.
All participants will be accommodated at official Hotel. The reservations for the hotel will be in first come first serve basis. The price includes full board accommodation, local transportation and entry to the competition. The cost of stay per person per night is:

The currency exchange rate is fixed as of today at US$ = Eur€ according to the website www.xe.com
Delegations are required to send by bank transfer at the same time as submitting the Final Entry Form, minimum 30% of the total amount of your accommodation invoice, otherwise the reservation will not be guaranteed.
After receiving Final Entry Form C and deposit (non-refundable) we will send you an Invoice for the remainder of the total cost of stay for your Delegation.This to be paid by bank transfer by February 22 or by cash (Euros or US Dollars only) at the accreditation desk on arrival. For your and our convenience we kindly ask you to make payment by transfer.
Nations wishing to arrange their own accommodation, are required to notify the hosting FMPM/LOC. This must be noted in Entry Forms A and B.
Nations wishing to arrange their own accommodation must pay USD $125 accreditation fee per participant which is to be sent by bank transfer with the Final Entry Form. For this, we will provide lunch packets for the competition days and allow access to official transportation between the Headquarters hotel and competition sites.
ENTRY FORMS
The deadline for receipt of Entry Form B is February 2, and for Final Entry Form C February 15.
If we do not receive your Final Entry Form C prior to the deadline or we do not receive your Delegation's deposit payment, then we will consider your delegation as non-participating.
Delegations are reminded of the new Rule 1.15.3
If on arrival for the competition, the team has less athletes and/or officials than listed on their Final Entry Form and without informing the Organising Nation/LOC at least 7 days prior to their arrival, the NF will pay a fine to the Organising Nation/LOC of 200 Euros for each person less.
Following confirmation of the final entries, a NF must enter the competition with at least one pentathlete. Any NF failing to take part after having sent their final entries will pay a fine of USD 750 to UIPM.
We would appreciate early confirmation of your intention to participate or not and submit this as Entry Form A.
Deadlines for the Entry Forms are as follows:-
Form A before 15 January 2010
Form B before 2 February 2010
Form C before 15 February 2010
ATHLETES' LICENSES
Athletes are only allowed to participate in UIPM sanctioned events if they are in possession of a valid UIPM issued Athletes License. Entry Forms will not be accepted if any athlete is missing his/her License Number. Please contact immediately UIPM Headquarters if your athlete is missing his/her License.
Teams have to present the licenses to the LOC on their arrival.
If an athlete forgets their License, they must pay a fine of 50 Euros to the UIPM TD/NTO and this fine remains the property of UIPM.
If an athlete does not have a license and has not requested a license from UIPM they will not be allowed to take part in the competition.
You are reminded of new Rule 1.13:-
Pentathletes without riding ability listed on their License card and without a letter from their NF confirming their ability to ride:
- - may compete at World Cup competitions in the qualifications for the Final, but if they do qualify for the Final, they must relinquish their place to the next pentathlete who has the ability to ride.
TRAINING
The LOC will offer training facilities for swimming, shooting and fencing, if need to training riding it have and extra payment.

TRANSPORTATION PLAN
The nearest airport is CONCUN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Transportation from the airport to the official hotel and the return journey is only guaranteed if flight information is provided in good time, and according to the deadline on Entry Form C. Transportation from the official hotel to the venue for athletes will be according to the training and competition programme.
VISAS & VACCINATIONS
Visiting nations should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into México prior travelling to the event. The LOC cannot accept responsibility for arranging visas but can provide specific letters of invitation if needed. For information if you need a visa or vaccinations please contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate.
INSURANCE
All members of the attending Delegations must insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness. The organiser will not accept any responsibility financial or otherwise for loss, injury or illness of any Delegation member.
FIREARMS
Firearms Licenses are not a legal requirement when bringing air pistols, but are a legal requirement for CO2 pistols into México for competition purposes.
GENERAL INFORMATION
All athletes are kindly requested to wear their official national uniform at the competition. Please also bring a CD of your national anthem and a national flag.
